RE: 65 Fury Wagon $6,000



Planned matt black for my engine compartment – couldn’t bring myself to it – still have the unopened can of “Blacktop” chassis coater from KBS coatings (moisture-cured urethane coatings).  Ended up leaving it unrestored for now.  Other considerations - didn’t want to do a half quality mask job – and didn’t want to remove all the wiring etc and cause other problems – and don’t know what color the wagon will be if it ever does get fully “restored”................

What I often wonder, though, is why so many "rebuilt" engines seem to be installed in a black engine compartment regardless of the factory body color.  Well, black is universally available, doesn't require color matching, etc.  Maybe I just eliminated my own wonder.....  But, in this case, I couldn't help but notice the ragged edges of the black spray on the firewall.   - Yeah, I know, picky, picky, picky - and I wasn't gonna buy it anyway.  Happy new year, all!!
