I have been complaining about the brakes on LeRoar especially since the Texas journey. I pulled the drums off and found the brakes were well greased! I guess that's not a good thing though. I pulled the axles and it looks like the inner seal is a culprit on the left side especially but the right isn't perfect either. The bearing on the right side looks like it got pretty hot at some time also.I located the parts at Advance Auto and I have a 22% off coupon that ends tomorrow so I'll get the parts in hand or ordered tomorrow. I've been thinking about a power booster for the brakes but after I get this back together maybe I'll change my mind. It's been about 10 years now since there has been anything done with the brakes. I had my local rear-end shop swap my gears recently and I suspect they may have dinged the seals when sliding the axle out for clearance. There was a ton of black RTV on top of the gasket where the plate holds the shaft into the housing. This is new territory to me as I've never messed with axles but it really seems pretty simple... That should be right up my alley as some say I'm pretty simple :-)BTW: Happy New Year to all !!--Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara LeRoar 4dr 318poly w/goodies
