Different models of tail housings have different bearing sizes, different gearbox mount pads and different speedometer drive fitments. The speedometer drive has to match up with the placement of the worm drive on the shaft.

This means you need to get the tail housing and the mainshaft from the same model transmission, and to get the same mount pad you need them to come from the early ('65 to '68) sliding yoke models.
