Gary, by chance did you let Dan know that you are only allowed 10 cars per person on this group, and if you exceed that amount, you have to raffle off the rest to the members at Christmas?

Welcome new member Dan. For those of you near Everett, WA, check out his restoration shop. :)

Below is his introductory message.

Thanks,
Gary H.
------------------------------

I grew up in the golden age of Chrysler engineering, which for me is the dozen or so years starting in 1957. Our family’s first car was a 1958 Plymouth Savoy. I remember accompanying my dad as he looked at new cars. Thank heaven he walked away from the Edsel. The second Mopar in the driveway was a 62 Dodge Lancer. As a teenager I learned auto mechanics working on these two cars. Today, my collection includes over twenty Mopars. Highlights include: 57 Custom Royal Lancer, 60 DeSoto Adventurer, 62 C300 and Dodge Polara, 64 Polara and Fury, 66 C-300, Charger, and Fury, and a number of 62-65 Valiants and Darts. I am blessed with a son who took to working with tools. Sam and I run a small restoration shop in Everett, WA. With his help, we have restored and sold a number of cars in the last three years, including Sunbeam Tiger, Buick Wildcat, Olds Cutlass, Lincoln Zephyr, and a Plymouth Roadrunner. We have plenty of inventory still to work through. Sam’s pride and joy is his 64 Dodge 880, which is steadily being updated and modified to drive and perform much better than new. The opportunity to have worked on competing brands has only served to heighten our respect for the engineering that went into the Forward Look cars and those that followed. I would like to join the 62-to-65 group to be able to add knowledge where I can, and continue to benefit from the expertise already shared with me by others in the group.
