There is an very interesting article in the November issue of MCG.
It is a long article with lots of numbers so please bear with my synopsis.
The article states that the wife of the guy who bought all the cars for the
1984 movie "Christine" found a box of photos and documentation
for all the cars that were purchased for the making of the movie.
His records show that he purchased 24, '57 and '58 Plymouths to make the movie.
(20 whole cars and 4 parts cars)
All those cars were purchased for less than $200 each in the early 80's!
Two of those 24 cars were '57 Fury's (white on beige w/gold trim).
Only 2 cars survived the movie -- all else were crushed.
According to production numbers, there were only 7,438 -- 1957 Fury's made.
That is a low numbers car and I heard that there are very few "know to exist".
In fact, there is a guy here in WA state that owns and shows one.
He said it is a very rare car.
My question:
Is there any documentation of the actual number of '57 Fury's "know to exist"?
Is there any record of how much a '57 Fury sold for recently?
Thanks,
Doug
