The car is a Plymouth Valiant with a factory v8, The car had org 60k when he bought it, stripped it, had that little poly motor build to eat up the track, and the tranny to go with it. So it's stock on the outside but inside the motor is BUILT. Don't ask me I don't know but I've been told it should run in the low 10's. But the car is all in boxes and apart like mine it. By the way, if your friend gets too lost he can sell the car and buy a 1962 to 1965. I have lots of pictures of those Mopars on file. :) But also I do know a couple local Mopar fans with 1972 / 1971 Mopars I can contact.
