Neal seems like a lot of the in the know guys do like the 354 ,after all just like using a 440 crank in a b block , some of the guys would turn down the mains on a 392 crank and put it in the low block 354 with a little over bore it makes a nice squared 392 motor . great rod ratio , but then someone like Mr Pavlovich could enlighten us more on that subject i'm sure . My friend in Australia, Craig Fountain, makes beautiful finned aluminum valve covers for the 354 Poly so it will look good too. Picture attached.Gary P.
They called them spitfire came in 331 and also a 301 as well as the 354

In Canada the 354 poly came as a 2-bbl on the 1957 Chrysler Windsor (C75-2), 1958 Dodge Custom Royal (LD-3), 1958 DeSoto Firedome (LS-2) and 1958 Chrysler Windsor (LC-2). The Canadian LD-3 version put out 275 bhp, LC-2 was 290 bhp and LS-2 295 bhp. Everything but the carburetor on the DeSoto was shared by all three. The differences were all the work of the advertising people.
