Stands are fine. Also unscrew the height adjustment screw that is on bottom of Kframe where T-bar goes in.  I made a clamp out of two pieces of 2x4 with a lil notch cut in them. I bolted them together and put an L bracket on one of the bolts and used a BFH and popped them out (to rear of car).

. Its been a long time. While motors being rebuilt and engine bay is empty I am doing a clean up/ degrease /repaint in there. I think it will be easier if I just pop out the t-bars. I know about the clips at the back in the crossmember, but the rest  of the process fails me. I remember reading somewhere u should never vise grip them as it can burr them which can crack out later.  Can u remove them  while car is on jack stands with suspension hanging? I know about not mixing them up.
