When I had my old radiator repaired I was told to run a lower pressure cap because the old style tank would be hard pressed support the 16 psi cap.
He is the only one I ever heard of saying run a 10 pd cap. At least a 13 or 14 pds cap. There was an art;ic awhile back on what to run with what. The only time ywould run a 10 pd cap w as with a bad radiator . Pressure is needed to move the water thu the engine .--On Tue, Aug 2, 2016 at 6:06 PM, neal zimmerman <neal.zimmerman@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:--Neal Zimmerman, Eugene OregonAs for coolant he said to use green coolant only. I queried him on how to give it a long life so this doesn't happen for a good while. He tossed the 16 pound cap on it and told me to find a Stant 10 pound. What are others here using for a cap??
