Great turnaround. From 13's last time to 11's this time. What did you find that made the difference?Sorry I missed it. I'm still going through my fuel system to resolve the surging. Only thing I have not done is to run the pump connected only to the tank to determine flow rate and to clean out the carb. I'm thinking the $30 Holley regulator with the 35 gph fuel flow loss through it might be the problem. There must be a reason why the next units are over $100. Should be running today.Akron Don Gallimore

Mike, thank you so much for making the long trek downstate to Milan. It was great to meet you, share pics, and talk tech.I lost in Round 2 to a late model challenger. He was running in the 13's and I think I got distracted by giving up all that time given I am such a newbie. My reaction was abysmal, nonetheless I almost ran him down. If there was 20 more feet at the end I woulda! Ran 11.915 in that round...(Mike, remember when I went to write a 11.90 dial-in and changed it at the last minute to 11.80? Argh!)All said, it was a great day and I am still pinching myself in disbelief knowing after 4 runs we have the car in mid 11s. Not to get carried away but if we wanted to get serious, I think there's potential in that car for even better. That and I finally got to meet someone from the 62-65 crew!Jim

I witnessed Jim run a 11.62 through the mufflers during time trials in his sweet 64 Fury. I did leave before eliminations were complete (220 miles home) but Jim was winning at that point! We'll have to let Jim fill us in on his results.I also ran into a racer I met in the UP in March of 2015 while snowmobiling. He was driving his brother's car. I saw him break out with a 10.08 on a 10.10 dial-in.It was a enjoyable day (not counting the sunburn).Mike LeFevre--
