Hi - thanks for all the helpful advice. I have slowly been working through the problems. Question - I got the radio working by grounding it directly to the negative terminal of the battery. The antenna alone is not providing the ground. Could I have an issue with the body ground that may be causing some of the problems? If so, where is the body ground? Thanks
Those two articles will cover the vast majority of the electrical annoyances in our cars. Another one, also by R. Ehrenberg,
deals with the dreaded bulkhead connector and generally clean contacts and grounds. That one is at:
http://www.allpar.com/history/mopar/electrical.htmlThat pesky clip-on ground jumper on the fuel line from the tank to the metal fuel line can be fudged with a short piece of wire and a couple of small screw-type hose clamps. Again, be sure the contact points are nice clean shiny metal. The stock jumpers can be found on ebay, and i think I saw them on the Year One website.

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
