Has there ever been a production V8 built in America that wasn't 90°?
I think the Brits built one, the Rolls Royce 'Legalimit' was something like 135° IIRC.
But in America, even the V6s that should be 60 or 120° are built as 90° because they can use common tooling. Peugeot built their V6 the same because they planned originally to expand it to a V8 and would thus find it better at 90°.
The problem is that people use the term, 'Wide Block'! Apart from some oilways and water passages they're identical to the LA318 block. How did that _expression_ come about?
