One other thing  my memory jogged the complaint we would get from the customer was that at a certain speed or rpm the overdrive would kick in and out but if they speed  up a little or slowed down it wouldn't hunt as bad between the OD and drive  you can also check and see if yours is bad with a multi meter by working the throttle and watching the volts at a certain spot it will be dead and have a open and no reading this is the spot in the tps causing the OD to kick out and lose power to the OD   Solenoid , if this wasn't the place to post please forgive me just us mopar guys and gals need to stick together

Well on your 92 you might want to look at the tps on that cummins they were a know problem for causing the 518 trans to hunt between 3rd and overdrive it's up on the fuel inj  pump just a ideal we used the DRB 2 to set the voltage on them but a multi meter can be used , oh my back ground worked as a ase master and chry gold tech 17 plus years at the dealership before going into the nature gas business . Again this is just a problem I've ran into your truck might have another problem but being this is over the internet I can not see or put my hands on your truck to say for sure , do some searches on the cummins tps for your truck they my help and hope this does too . Actually I thinks it's called the out put speed sensor?  See I said I'm no expert.
