Re: New radiator



All the difference in he world. My Max Wedge when I got it had a 4 blade fan, no shroud. On a warm day it would run 190-200, then when sitting the temp. would rise to 210-220 real fast. I put the 2-piece shroud with 7 blade fixed fan and it ran 180-190. When sitting and the temp came up I gut reeved it up a little and the temp went right down. My next car will have the same set up. I'd like to see a photo if you do use the shroud.

Sure does look sick.  Don’t see why not - have an original 2-piece fan shroud waiting.  Shrouds make a huge difference in air flow.....

That radiator looks great, can an original 2-piece metal fan shroud be fitted to it.

Received last night and real happy with the quality.  Back ordered from Classic Industries on Dec 21st during one of their 20% off sales.  So a little over a month to get the back-order.  They honor the discount at the time the order was placed, and don’t charge your card until it ships.  Plan to order the floor pan the same way, when the time comes.

 

Go to http://www.usradiator.com/ and watch the 12 minute factory tour video, to see especially the copper radiator process.  At about 11 minutes in they discuss the aluminum cores.  I went with US Radiator because of the formed tanks - stock appearance with less welded seams - and American made to boot.  Most def going to add some bling under the hood.  ; )
