I've been working on collecting parts for the 440 that's going in my '64 Polara and had a hard time deciding on an intake system. Considered one of the TBI systems, a single 4 bbl, Max Wedge crossram, and in line dual quads. The fuel injection systems are just too expensive for my budget and the crossram, although what I really wanted, is also out of reach when I consider everything else the Polara needs so the search was on for something cheaper. Bottom line is I have a set of matched AFB's sitting on the shelf and really want to use them so I started looking for an inline dual quad unit. There are several out there, especially on E-bay but I found a brand new, in the box Edelbrock 5440 CH-28 on Amazon.com with free shipping for $50 less than Summit's price, and only $40 more than a Performer RPM. I've been shopping Summit for years and always felt they had the best pricing on performance stuff but I guess I learned a good lesson. When shopping for parts check all possible sources. You never know what you'll find.
