270 is the neighborhood of flow but the education must include cylinder filling ability, and combustion chamber efficiency… Over the years there has been a lot of unassociated R&D done on these motors with no one really cohesively pulling all the data and potential together… Until now… The principals at Chrysler Power are the same ones who founded the National Hemi Owners Association, Mopar Muscle Club, Mopar Nationals and Chrysler Power magazine to name a few minor historical accomplishments… That passion and organizational exuberance is now spilling into the Poly arena… And while the current foundational Poly packages are limited by 270 flow, the associated engine management parts and pieces technology will ultimately yield a solid 500hp thru A MUCH BROADER rpm range than any other motor you have tried to date… That translates into a soccer mom grocery getter that will spank a variety of bigger and much more unruly packages… When the day comes that 500hp across a 3000rpm range isn’t enough, and there is enough interest to justify financial investment, the foundry ALREADY has a high flow set of aluminum heads on the drawing board-supercharger manifolds plus much more… And if you are of the mind to wonder how this interest could be possible or at all rational, this same foundry makes all the Shelby 289, Windsor and FE aluminum blocks, and big block Pontiac heads in aluminum to name a short list of the interest in OLD engines… That doesn’t sound rational either does it? All this to say-our ideal is to create fun stuff, economical stuff that works, and when required, be willing to pay the price for the right stuff to enjoy our Chrysler enthusiast heritage… (Sorry for the long rant-I just feel really passionate about this stuff!) From: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] What do they flow at 300? They flow 260ish at what lift? So these engines will only make the power 260ish will allow. what about torque? So no matter what, naturally aspirated these engines are flow limited to around 400 or so hp? Just trying to educate myself on these engines. Thanks On Thursday, January 8, 2015 4:50 PM, "tothperformance@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <tothperformance@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
