ZDDP Off Shoot, Oil change interval

All, been reading these threads with great enjoyment to the knowledge that is out there. Need to expand this thread to Oil change intervals. As I winter in Florida to work on my 65 Bel vert, it occurs to me that my other 62-65's sit for almost 6 months and am wondering should i change my oil when I move back north to Virginia. Currently have been using Rotella T-6 synthetic but from previous posts that may now be a no-no, so do I change syn oil every 6 months just because the motor sat for 6 months. members from the northern states may have a good insight to my question. Thanks in advance.
