RE: A pair of '64 Converts

The Goodguys street rod show is coming up next weekend in Puyallup, WA. (If you can pronounce Puyallup correctly, you are a local). Last year we cruised around the fairgrounds in the '62 Dart wagon. One group of guys lawn chair sitting outside car watching yell "I thought they crushed all those!"...... LOL......... Then we go home and get the '53 Chev COE and cruise by - same guys whoop and holler and give us thumbs up. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. ; )

Yes they mostly all ran when parked. LOL

The convertible "glut" is probably a consequence of people saving them just because they were a top-down version. Relatively speaking, convertibles were among the lowest production numbers. Interestingly, until not too long ago people routinely crushed wagons as an "undesirable" body style. Consequently now wagons are, I suspect, much rarer than 'verts.

Thanks,
Gary H.
