in general the fan clutch is about 3in. ,the same as the spacer and fan, I put a new 6 blade fan and clutch ,I think from summit,works fine also added a shroud

OK,

I am going to check a local pick & pull yard this weekend.  I have a 1963 SF with a 383.

Are there specific makes, models and years I should be looking at for a used fan clutch?

If I am not happy with what I find and want to go new is there a specific fan clutch I should consider?
