I spoke with Javier at the foundry Monday this week and he told me he is
scheduled to pick up/inspect the new manifold today/Thurs. 6-5-14 for fit and
finish after the last set of machining adjustments were made – valley plate
casting adjustment, improved bolt-hole alignment/cut down bolt guide bosses for
easier intake bolt entry/mill thermostat pad/drill for water by-pass, vacuum,
heater hose, & water sending unit orifices...
Was told the valve covers are being checked & machining changes made
for the correct cast-in baffling and gasket locator tabs...I don’t have a time
estimate at this writing but will also ask that question when I get ahold of
Javier “live” today.
I will follow-up today to see if the planned “pick up” indeed happened as
Roland is “on tour” back East and buried with other duties...so I am helping out
here to keep us all informed.
