Re: Water/Meth Injection

I've never heard of using it on a naturally aspirated motor not saying you can't I just don't see it being any benefit.  The reason it benefits forced induction engines is it cools the intake charge  the water turning to steam during combustion helps bring temps down and methanol helps with higher octane or ??? Sorry don't remember  it's used on diesel truck in pulling circuits it but that's for guys usually pushing over 40 lbs of boost   This is not gospel! Just my penny

As Don says below, I used it in my 12.5 compression 528 Hemi with aluminum heads. It was from Snow Performance. On the dyno, I showed no big gains from it.

Have a buddy on the MML who put it on his 12.5 compression Hemi to enable him to run at the Pump Gas Drags. Never asked him the cost but looked like an expensive proposition. '69 Cuda ran 9.7o's, was (barely) streetable and he did do occasional stints on the streets at the car shows.

Subject: Water/Meth Injection

Hi all, been debating whether it might be beneficial to put a water/meth system on my 63 Dodge with a 520 cid. My research says it can give up to 25% better mileage and a 15% HP increase but I would not expect that much with my engine. Has anyone tried this and have any thoughts pro/con. Would reallyhbe interested in your experiences. Thanks in advance
