MO, I tried that, it was not pretty!  I have tremors and the tube ended up with zigzag teeth.  SO, I am impressed with his outcome!!   The seal is actually U shaped not C, but the tube idea beats the hell out of nothing.

Nick at a car show a few years ago, I asked a guy where he got his new black tailight edgeing. Her said He got some small tubeing ( windshield washer? ) cut a slit in the side of it  and installed that "channel" over the edge of his tailight.  Sounds tedious- hope you find the correct stuff............................MO
