Forget about fuel economy, I'm getting 250 miles per Richmond ring gear. I've seen a lot of Mopar race cars with 8 3/4s under them, even some with stock axles but this one broke the first time I jumped on it with the new tires. For those of you with sticky tires, am I wasting my time with a 742 or should I go ahead and start scavenging for a DANA? 4 speed, 4:10, drag radials (occasionally), street car (usually). Glad I stuck a magnet in the diff reservoir which kept the broken teeth out of the chunk. Would appreciate some feedback. Thanks
