I'm running a Carter P4070, and it's plenty loud. But it doesn't bother me.

I am running a Mallory 5250 Comp pump and it sounds like someone is blending Mai Tais under the back of my car. A friend said to look into an Aeromotive pump. Would be good to hear if anyone has experience with them.

I believe the Carter electric fuel pump such as CRT-P4594 listed in the Summit Catalog is one that is quieter and can be used as a back-up with a flow thru design. IE you can use a mechanical and back it up with the electric to help prevent vapor lock and hard starting due to an empty float bowl.

My Holley Blue is too noisy for the wife who says she won't ride in LeRoar till I get rid of that pump! I had to give her earplugs last time?! I bought my Holley Blue from O'Reilly's on 7-14-12 for $140. I have put very few miles and/or hours on it since then as you know I have a penchant for breaking things :-0 I need to keep the regulator which is about $29 from Summit. Anybody wanna do a swap or buy it? Make me an offer with a PM.

Let me know if you think the Carter won't work as a part time unit. I am quite sure it will. Remember that LeRoar is just a cruiser now and doesn't need the extra oomph.
