Thanks Dennis. Location matters. If these Mopars were on the east coast of the US, they would have probably sold for higher prices. But then, if they *were* on the east coast, they would have deteriorated into piles of iron oxide particles years ago. :)
BTW, http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=52088&posts=41&start=1 starting 5-12-14 shows more from the auction. A message by mopar56 posted on 2014-05-02 2:46 PM gives some nice historical background about the owner. Also noted there that at least one salvage company that was on site with a portable crusher. :(
