Great pictures. I attended Mopars at the Strip this year and got to
speak with Tom Hoover and the remaining Ramchargers for quite awhile –
shamelessly got them all to autograph my Schneider Cams t-shirt...they were
impressed with our New Poly intake manifold as well.
Update on the manifold/valve covers:
Spoke to Javier at the Foundry yesterday and he is calling the off-site
machinist each day checking on the “adjustments” to the final manifold after the
changes we made to the rough machined casting.
We are shifting the bolts holes and cutting down the bolt hole bosses for
easier entry of the allen head bolts, taking .250” off the water neck
foundation, adding .240” to the valley plate, and other mods that I have already
discussed & forwarded to the Mopar Mail Lists. This project is moving
along, albeit not as fast as we all would like, but it is going steady and
well. I pressed for a time estimate for shipping the manifolds and was
told about 3wks.
The new finned aluminum valve covers will be ready for shipping in two
weeks; I have seen several “forwarded” inquiries on those so it is good news
they are coming.
