Re: Not mine

Interesting point!  Maybe in the ad he means "factory racer" in the generic sense, as he claims no particular racing history or race team ownership.  As far as max wedge cars having luxury items, my '62 Sport Fury came with buckets, console, AM radio, and heater, and another non-luxury item the front anti-sway bar, as well as 13.5:1 engine (according to the Darrell Davis record).  Admittedly this grouping doesn't seem to make sense when someone is sitting down to order the car, and while I know it came out of Milne Chrysler Plymouth in Pasadena, I don't know if it was special ordered by a retail purchaser, or ordered by Milne as dealer sales stock or to race themselves, or what.  I bought it in 1996 from list member Roland Osborne but I don't recall that he knew that info either, and I was not able to track it back past what Roland did know about the history.  Out of curiosity I took a quick look at my Davis book and he lists SOME of the options or lack thereof that came with each max wedge car by VIN, but not ALL the options.

What's a "factory racer" doing with all those luxury items?  It's a nice car but that doesn't seem right for racing.
