I just read an article on the dodge darts on the Allpar.com site they say the 1964 dart had a bigger rear window and differnt trim seal than the 63 and this bigger rear window and trim were continued thru 1966

that's not the full story.   the glass for 1963 is one year only for sure.  and thus so is the trim and the weatherstrip. This picture shows the uniqueness:

compared to a 1964:

the 64-66 glass is the same, unfortunately, it does not mean the seal/weatherstrip is the same.  everything about the rear glass on a '63 is unique (trim, seal, glass, sheet metal around it..).  Not everything from 1964-1966 is identical.  glass is,, a lot of the sheet metal around it is,, but the weathrstrip/seal, is for whatever reason,  seems to have a different PN.

so if the glass is the same (which it is), it must come down to either the "window opening fence" formed by the sheet metal, or the stainless trim, right?  what else would persuade Chrysler to make a distinction?

My original 1964 seal does not have a lock strip, It doesn't appear to even have the push in rubber lock strip used on 66-67 Bodies.. does the 65-66 have a lock strip?

here are some observations from a '66 parts manual.

1966 2dr 4dr darts:  (no valiant):

Here are all the 1966 PN's for the sheetmetal that surrounds the glass:

first, the roof: 2480704 (1966)

moving down from the roof, on either side:

"roof extension": 2602578 (right) 2602579 (left) (1966)

at the bottom corners of the window, there is "panel": 2528806 (right) 252807 (left) (1966)

connecting these two corner panels is  the dutchman panel or "deck opening, upper": 2480705 (1966)

weather strip: 2574017 (1966)

bright work trim: bottom 2495286; sides 2495284-5; top 2495279

this might seem like overkill, but these are all the pieces of sheet metal that the weatherstrip joins with.  I'd love to compare these numbers with corresponding numbers in a 1964 parts manual.
