I believe he got 190 degree thermostat from the old MoPar clinics.  Recalling attending them, that was what the clinicians recommended to use back in the day also.  I presume that recommendation is for a properly operating cooling system!  Just my 2¢

Much as I like and respect Ehrenberg, I gotta resurrect this old gem:

Brother Dave Gardner was doing a takeoff on a "man in the street" interview, and asked the fellow "What's your cigaret?"
The guy said he smoked a Filter Tipped Picayune.  So, Dave asked if the man believed that "... everyone should smoke Filter Tipped Picayunes?"
And the reply was "YES!"
