Possibly a worn torque convertor or the front seal was torn during installation ?
On Monday, November 4, 2013, wrote:--Noticed all the recent posts about the leaking trans, been working on a 64 Polara lately. The car's been sitting about a year, haven't had time to do much,. Fabricated the transmission mount, replaced the braided hose transmission lines that were on it when I bought it, replaced the header gaskets and seals, started the car and the trans was leaking from the torque converter area. Plulled the trans, replaced the seal and the bushing in the front pump, put everything back together and the front seal is still leaking. The trans didn't leak from the front seal area before I changed the braided lines, so I'm wondering if one of the lines is blocked and maybe causing pressure to cause it to leak? Any ideas? Thanks in advance,Tony
