Yes I imagine you will want to take it apart to fully check and correct the issue. Maybe you sucked in a Chevy as you blew by :-) It could be that the particle is non-magnetic too and wouldn't be snagged by a magnet. How about trying your shop vac? Or remove the carb, turn the engine to open the intake valve, blow in the intake runner to the cyl and suck at the spark plug hole. Is that too "R" rated for us?
