Yep, Plymouth used the Mayflower ship or it’s sails as it’s emblem for years. The hood ornament gradually became less ship and more just the sails thru the years but even the hood ornament used in the 60’s (attached) I understand was supposed to be an abstract version of a sail. On a side note I had a 36 Plymouth with a 340 in it. Besides having the kid pissing on the Chevy bowtie under the hood it also said “MAYFLOWER POWER” Sort of a play on words going back to my hippie days.
