Drag Race Wreck

Dover Drag Strip, Wingdale, NY. The 63' Belvedere lightweight max wedge had made some suspension adjustments to improve traction. At the traps when the brakes were applied the car took a nose dive and the photos will show the rest. The car was brought back to the dealership, stripped of all usable parts and the shell remained in the back corner of the dealership through the 70's. Here are some photos of the last run.
