you are describing Hank Taylor's car, he was 16 when his Mom purchased the car for him. Hank was from Texas and he raced the car as the Texas Rattler, I think you will find mention of it in Jim Schild's book.

Btw, my Mom was cool with cars but not that cool, LOL!!

Okay, not your average example, but a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere I A-990 with claimed 219 miles. It was on ebay, the auction now ended.
