440 boat anchor / paperweight?

Hi all,

Well it IS a Monday. LOL

I had a 440 short block stored under a tarp covered by the edge of a carport. I pulled the tarp off and, yikes, the lifter galley was full of a mixture of water and oil residue. I don't know how the water got in, but "stuff happens" for certain! I can remove the water from the engine top and drain it from the oil pan. Then what? Any ideas? Or is this 1966 440 now scrap -- or a big paperweight?

Thanks,
Gary H.
