This thread should answer most of the questions anyone may have
about the '65 Dart Charger.
The project is being done by a fellow in Sweden, who must be the
most detail driven guy on the planet!

I found it fascinating, but I have lots of time available!

And the 1965 Dart Charger was NOT a factory offering, but a
California dealer inspired package. The Charger nameplates
appear to be something designed by someone not connected
with auto styling. Look more like a paperweight than
nameplate. Some models also had stripes on the hood and
trunk. All other equipment on the car was straight off the
options list, including the 273-cid V8.
Chrysler had problems fitting the poly 318 in the engine bay
on the A body engine bay. There was absolutely no room for a
B block engine in there.
Also do not know where the 180 number came from. As it
was a dealer package there was no separate sales code for it
The only thing I have heard about production is that they
ordered more nameplates than they had car orders.
