I think it is an early aftermarket CD ignition similar technology like the old judson electronic magneto. The round electrical thingies are power transistors

Wolfman was around when this unit was made, but CD discs may not have been. LOL I wish there was some legible tag on the unit, but the tag there is not readable. Seems unlikely that they would need the two round electrical "thingies" on the top (capacitors?) just for a remote switch. 2c
