And speaking of the codes on the pad, the year and size codes are straightforward, likewise the addition of "HP", and the various other symbols for undersize bearings etc. But with regard to the date stamped on the pad, is that date the date the engine was assembled, or the date it was installed in the car, or the scheduled production date of the car, or? Anyone know for sure...?
