Roger, that's the low tech cam tech. Full race on the old engines was still under 290 degrees for the old flat head Fords and other engines as old as we are. What I believe is that the term "3-Quarter Race Cam" meant 3/4 of what was Full Race, ie, 250, 260, 270 280 degrees. Born of the circle track racers and making it's way to our back yard hot rod generation and onto the early drag strip. Am I even close or just stuck in reverse.

Good one Nick, but think about what you said,,,, that would mean a full race would be 360 degrees or completely round,,,,,somehow I have my doubts that a full race would even start let alone race,,,,,
