Charlie,
Great story on having a paint & body guy to restore your car!
That is the hardest/most expensive part of our car resto hobby...every other
aspect is a piece of cake in my book but I shudder at the trials and
tribulations I have had with paint & body guys or shops.
Can you send us some pics?
Gary P.
CAR NAMES are FUNNY and I call my 1965 Satellite "WIDOW MAKER".
That is because after I tore it apart for the restoration 16 years ago, my
health started going south on me in a big hurry and I figured I would croak
before I ever got it finished HA! HA! HA! Then my oldest daughter married the
best paint and body repairman in our area. What a blessing that was, as he has a
shop at their house too and he told me to drag the car over there and together
we would finish it right. That to me was like winning the lottery after all
those years and it sets finished now in my heated warehouse for it's winters
nap. I can't wait to get it out and do some cruising around next summer. It's
all black in and out with a 426 Street Wedge and a 4 speed with 3.91 gears. Take
Care everyone and keep up the old stories, Charlie.
