Re: us car tool and sub frame connectors

If your really going after actual frame stiffing, I would highly recommend to NOT use this product or any like it?  They are for the most part 95% eye candy, that only marginally work on a really good day.  Just figure this, they are only as strong as the thinnest section and your car WILL FLEX almost as much as it did with out them!  Now if your doing it for some sort of effect for show, Carry On!  (Read the review, Eye Candy)  Or, If your concerned about interior visual effects of the back seat floor area, don't be, with carpet over them, or plywood spacers, you will never notice.  If I remember right you loose maybe 3/4 of an inch installed.  OK, if your looking for actual frame stiffening that's really going to work, you have to use a boxed connector that your going to have to cut and weld the floor!  NO Ifs Ands or Butts About it, Period!!   The first photo is from underneath and the second is from inside.  I sealed around my welds just incase I might have missed a small hole, keeping water from leaking in.  The eyes and welding are not as good as it used to be!

I used a fellow from this sites product and am very happy with his design.   Http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.org/ml-hamadayframec.HTML

Subject: us car tool and sub frame connectors

putting stuff together for a day on the lift at a friends welding shop.  decided to go with us car tools sub frame connectors as the 318 is getting replaced with a mild 440. asked about their total frame stiffing package they offer for other years hoping... here is their reply. " It is on our list of products,  at this time however we don't have a car to make the templates off of.  If you happen to be close enough,  we could use your car to make the products.  The only cost would be the part itself. We would also weld all the products on too.  If this is something that you might be interested in let me know.  Thanks! Chris"  Man I wish i lived closer, that is one heck of an offer to a first time customer... here is their contact info
