Subject: 1965 Coronet door panels in red?
I am in need of some door panels for a 2Dr Hardtop. The kid I bought the car from orginally re-did the seats with a custom material. He didn't have the door panels so, I figured I would just order some from Classic Industries. I ordered http://www.classicindustries.com/mopar/parts/mb120502.html in Red & the color matched perfect. I contacted Classic Industries & got the run around and finally was told their panels they sell wouldn't match because they only come in Maroon.
So anyway's I have a few friends & neighbors that know interior people, so I figured I would give it a shot. I had 3 come over so far & none will do the car due to it not having the old door panels. They said without the top part it is impossible... Seems strange but I am not a interior guy so if 3 say the same thing I guess I believe them?
So now what? Does anyone know a
good interior person that is in the SoCal area that will do it without having the originals? I could just redo the seats back to the maroon & be done, but that seems wasteful since the seats are brand new.
Here are a few pictures of what the interior looks like so far.
Thanks for any help!
