I think you have the wrong impression about the product. You are hearing from those with problems, people who do not have problems are the silent majority. If you check their site you will see the range of their products, they have been at this for a very long time. If you want absolute dependability nothing has it. As far as reliability the old points are very good, probably the best but you also have the maintenance issues, remember changing points and condenser or setting dwell on dual points? Ma Mopar has an extremely reliable electronic system but boxes, ballast resistors and coils do fail. I have no association with Pertonix other than as a user. I have it and will buy it again. Personally I wanted an electronic ignition system and rev-limiter but did not want to try to hide the boxes, Pertronix is a good solution for me. Just my thoughts - to each their own. Dennis C. And from what you guys have been saying about the product, it sounds like a real shitty set up. To say I've heard more bad than good is an understatement. Seems like for every 2 positive stories about this pruduct there's 7 or 8 negative ones. A buddy of mine was gonna buy one of their set ups until I told him some of the horror stories that I read on this very site. Needless to say he didn't buy it. My question is, if they have such a piss poor track record, how are they still in business? -- -- -- Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
