Using a 300L Conv't as a Tow Car?

Hi All,
Chryslers at Carlisle '13 is just around the corner and I'm thinking of using my L to tow my K Ram Convt. The L will have its front drums converted to power disc brakes shortly. The K weighs around 4100lbs and the trailer would be another 1600lbs or so. (I've been reliably told that '65 300s safely towed much heavier campers back in the day.)

Aside from a trailer hitch and an open trailer (which I'd rent), anything else I'm missing to do this safe and proper?

If it's not to complex, could be one fun way to roll out to Carlisle in the summer.

Thanks for any advice.

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
