Re: How to remove back seat (65 Coronet)



Well I finally got it.   I tried with all my might, had neighbors try but wouldn't move towards the back. Finally figured I needed more pushing power so set up a small bottle jack with blocks of wood on each end covered with old towels to save the upholstery.   Jacked it enough to push it back.  Not sure why it was so hard to remove.  The seats were recently done so figured that could be why.

There are 2 "hooks" on the floor pan under the seat about 25% in from the seat end, on both sides. You may need to push at those 2 locations to get the seat bottom out.
 
You need to go down and back, then pull up to disengage the hooks.
