Had my big block that I bought in 1964 and never a problem over heating. Drove it hard .  Bought a 426 street wedge in 1990  .30 over 11:1 com. forged piston  284 cam, runs hot, hot. added shroud, some help. Need to do something to cool it. In Naples Fl many days in the 90's and to hot to drive.  dave O


Never had  your exact set-up because 440 were not used in 64-65, but had new big block cars back then that never over heated and just used stock components,,,,,,
