That is what I thought, but that means I have a problem. I just installed my new Hurst on a tranny that has had new seals and gaskets and a thorough inspection. I followed the directions and double checked them. . The directions are rather generic, I have to pull the shifter to the rear to get reverse gear engaged. I could turn the shift lever on the tranny 180 degree, but then the lever woulld protrude down instead of up and be an obstruction- hanging below the bottom of the trans. I didn't do the tranny work, but I am wondering if something isn't right with the way the shifter fork is installed? It may be something wrong with the shifter or the installation kit ( levers and rods) Any thoughts on this?..............MO On Nov 21, 7:54 pm, chyma...@xxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > Left and forward(or up). > > Mark > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "MO" <mic...@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: "The 1962 to 1965 Mopar Mail List Clubhouse" <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, November 21, 2012 8:45:22 PM > Subject: 833 four speed shift pattern. > > When putting into reverse gear, does the shifter go to the left and > then forward or to the rear?
