Re: Say good-bye to Racer Rich

Thanks for the thought. I think I rarely do things the easy way :-)  Anyway I kinda like the old poly and I know it can do a decent job for me.

Find a 5.7 and computer from a pickup and install it.  It will bolt up to your pushbutton tranny or use the OD tranny from the PU for better mileage.  Check it out bet you get more bang for the buck going that way!   Their are so many Gen III HEMIs in wrecking yards the prices are dropping.  I just picked up a 6.1 with extras for $1000.00.  Just a thought.

Subject: Say good-bye to Racer Rich

I have come to the decision that it is time to go on to the next stage with 'ol LeRoar.  I have accomplished my goals of being faster than my original '64 383 4 spd car and my '69 383 Super Bee.  I am sure I can do better yet but time is slipping away and I need to make LeRoar a user friendly cruiser so that I may do some traveling and perhaps even get to see my kids in Calif a bit more often.

My new goal is to use the FAST EZ efi system with all the necessary mods such as cam and gears.  Also I now have some Sebring conv seats, thanks to Dodger, for more comfort.  I will also want a Vintage Air system, power brakes and a Firm Feel steering sector.  I think that I should be able to attain an mpg in the mid 20's range.  I know I could buy a lot of gas for that much money but the plus is that I will be able to go farther between fill ups. In the middle of the desert that is a plus.  I have already made a swap for a 7503 manifold that is set-up for the FI.  I will have some parts to sell and swap as time goes on.  I am working with Gary Pavlovich on this project and he will be first in line for certain items that he wants.

I will be up dating you as things progress.  I look forward to being able to drive LeRoar regularly and for long distances :-)  Maybe I should change the name to LeMew?
