I agree with you Doug. The 350 sbc has been way over done and
the lack of imagination kills me too. Got a friend who is redoing a Chevelle and
instead of redoing the original numbers matching 327 .......he is putting in a
350. Oh well, its still a chevy so not much hope there anyway.

wrong with the 400? There's hundreds of 440's under the hoods of 62-65
Mopars and that's always been perfectly acceptable, and even bragged about, not
to mention Hemi's in pre 64's. I don't mind a late generation hemi or
magnum in an old Mopar either, heck we've been doing that sort of thing for
years. My personal dislikes are the giant diameter wheels and rubber band
tires, and street rods with the "wrong" company's engine. An sbc in every
old car shows no imagination, and just plain laziness in my opinion. If I
win the lotto, I'm going to put a late model hemi in a 57 chebby,, just to piss
the chebby guys off,, LOL. But then, what ever floats yer boat
