Well said. In drag racing, I get a kick out of the Toyota funny car bodies, too. Toyota has never produced an engine that could come close to propelling that car down the track at 300mph. In fact, they're all essentially running a 426 Hemi on steroids. Even the Force cars - who claim to be running Ford Boss 500 engines - are running Chrysler designs (if it's a Ford, why aren't the magnetos striaght in the center of the front of the block?). But hey, whatever, I guess. At least they're getting some corporate support by using the various brand names. The pro stock cars are at least running legit engines that go with the bodies. No Toyotas there.

Lets look at it open minded nascar is about the drivers and a generic car that has decals that resemble something that might, at the right angle, with the right light, and a good squint, favor your favorite brand, with a lot of imagination on a good day! As an old Nascar fan, when they really raced, real cars, I think todays incarnation Sucks! Tototsy, hunda, & what ever they let run now, its all bout the money. Dodge is just the smart one to put its dollars to a place better serving the lively hood of the company. Nascar is NOT IT! Win on Sunday sell on Monday has been dead many many years. Just my $0.02

Makes you wonder if this is the beginning of the end?? First they get bought by Fiat, of all companies, a couple years ago. Now they're pulling out of one of the most televised racing series in history.....for the second time. Very sad indeed.
